
A former DOJ paralegal, Ridwan Ahmed brings extensive experience in white-collar criminal cases and investigations. With a unique combination of federal government and scientific research experience, he applies innovative approaches to complex legal challenges facing clients.
As a paralegal for the Justice Department’s Health Care Fraud Strike Force, Ridwan provided investigation and litigation support in white-collar criminal cases. His government experience spans complex health care fraud and pharmaceutical drug diversion cases. He received awards for Outstanding Contributions to Drug Law Enforcement from the DEA, Excellence in Investigation from the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency, and he was named a 2020 Fraud Fighter of the Year by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
Ridwan was an immunology and microbiology researcher at the Texas Medical Center and The University of Texas at Austin, where he studied gene expression in sinus disorders and antibiotic production in bacteria. His scientific background and clinical and laboratory research experience allows him to uniquely approach complex legal issues. Ridwan is currently a third-year law student at The University of Alabama, and he will be joining Litson PLLC as an associate upon graduation.
