Todd and Julie Chrisley Headline TARGET, a New Podcast About What Happens When the Federal Government Comes for You

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 24, 2026) — Todd and Julie Chrisley are the first guests on TARGET, a new podcast from Nashville firm Litson PLLC about what it means to be the target of a federal investigation, told by the people who lived it. The show launched Thursday, Sept. 24, on YouTube, Apple Podcasts, and Spotify, with new episodes every Thursday.

In the premiere, the Chrisleys, whose reality show “Chrisley Knows Best” filmed in Nashville for most of its run, walk through the decade between the first call from investigators in 2012, their 2022 federal trial in Atlanta, and their pardons in May 2025. When their lawyer at the time asked the government whether they were targets, the answer was “not at this time.” The first attorney they hired, years before Little took the case, promised a win and asked for a $250,000 wire the same day. They talk about the lawyers they wish they had interviewed and the decisions they regret.

TARGET is hosted by Alex Little, Litson’s managing partner, a former federal prosecutor who represented the Chrisleys post-conviction, and Amy Nelson, an entrepreneur who spent 10 years as a litigator in New York and Seattle. When the FBI came to Nelson’s door in 2020, Little was the lawyer she called, and he defended her husband through a four-year investigation that ended without charges.

Every conversation starts with the same question, when did you first find out you were a target, and closes with what the guest would tell themselves on day one. Upcoming guests include P.G. Sittenfeld, the former Cincinnati city councilman; Rick Renzi, the former U.S. congressman from Arizona; Matt Borges, the former chairman of the Ohio Republican Party; and Ryan Bloom, the former CEO of an Oklahoma City construction company whose federal bank fraud case was dismissed in January.

“There are plenty of podcasts about the ins and outs of the alleged crime or the trial. Very few talk about the system that is used to wear down defendants,” said Little. “The question is not whether you are on the right side or the wrong side. It is whether you are in the crosshairs.”

“On April 2, 2020, the FBI knocked on my door, and we learned that my husband was the target of a federal investigation. I called Alex that day,” said Nelson. “Along the way, I learned that the systems I thought would protect me wouldn’t. You can never understand what this justice system is like until you experience it.”
