Litson PLLC Celebrates One Year in Practice with Major Legal Wins and Strategic Growth
May 23, 2025
One year after launching, Litson PLLC is marking its first anniversary with a growing team, major legal victories, and a reputation for handling high-stakes civil and criminal cases across the country.
With a focus on white collar criminal defense and complex litigation, the firm secured extraordinary results in its first year in a wide variety of matters.
“We’re trial lawyers who know how to defend clients when the stakes are high,” said Alex Little, Managing Member. “Our team combines experience, strategy, and the ability to move fast when it matters most.”
Big Wins in a Fast-Paced Year
Litson represented a business owner in a federal fraud investigation. After a multi-year inquiry, prosecutors have declined to file charges.
Our team helped secure a full presidential pardon for a former state senator, following more than a year of post-conviction litigation and a clemency petition highlighting prosecutorial misconduct.
On behalf of a large trade organization, Litson secured a preliminary injunction blocking Tennessee’s emergency rules that would have banned THCA hemp flower products, protecting a key segment of the state’s hemp industry.
In a civil rights lawsuit, the firm obtained a $735,000 settlement for a hemp wholesaler after challenging unlawful enforcement by local officials.
“These cases reflect what we do best,” said Zack Lawson, Member. “We help clients stand up to government overreach and navigate uncertain legal ground.”
A Growing Team of Nine
The firm is expanding to nine attorneys and legal professionals, with key hires across litigation and policy. Ted Canter, former Assistant U.S. Attorney and cybercrime coordinator, brings experience in federal enforcement and white-collar matters. Sloan Nickel, previously an Assistant Attorney General in Washington State, brings deep experience in administrative law and litigation.
Joining the firm as they await bar admission are Alicia Van Huizen-Shinska, Amy Green, and William “Billy” Black, who are expected to become licensed attorneys later this year.
“Ted and Sloan are smart, capable lawyers who make us stronger every day,” said Little. “We’re proud of the work we’ve done, and we’re excited for what’s ahead with the addition of Alicia, Amy, and Billy.”
