Litson PLLC Elevates Two Former Federal Prosecutors to Partner

March 9, 2026

Litson PLLC announced the promotion of Edward “Ted” Canter and John Ross Glover to Partner. The promotions further strengthen a leadership team that now includes four former federal prosecutors who have collectively tried more than 90 jury trials.

Before joining Litson last year, Canter served for five years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama, where he led the office’s cybercrime efforts as Computer Hacking and Intellectual Property coordinator. His federal work included spearheading multi-agency investigations of ransomware threat actors, sophisticated business email compromise schemes, criminal marketplaces operating on Telegram, and illicit financial crime networks. Previously, Canter was an associate at Proskauer Rose LLP in New York, where he represented corporate clients and executives in white-collar matters, SEC and DOJ investigations, antitrust matters, and cross-border anti-corruption proceedings.

Before joining Litson when the firm launched in 2024, Glover served as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee, prosecuting financial fraud, firearms, and drug trafficking cases. Then, as an Assistant Attorney General in Tennessee’s Special Prosecutions Division, he managed complex constitutional litigation in federal court and specialized prosecutions. His practice focuses on healthcare fraud defense, government investigations, and high-profile matters involving elected officials. His recent work includes a Petition for Writ of Certiorari before the U.S. Supreme Court in Borges v. United States, challenging federal conspiracy law.

“Ted and JR have proven themselves as formidable advocates who understand government investigations from the inside,” said Alex Little, managing partner of Litson PLLC. “Their promotions reflect the depth of talent at this firm and our commitment to delivering the strongest possible defense for our clients.”

Canter earned his J.D. from Emory University School of Law and his M.B.A. from Emory’s Goizueta Business School. He holds a B.A. in English from Vanderbilt University.

Glover earned his J.D. from Belmont University College of Law and his B.A. in English from Lehigh University.

“Litson has been a wonderful place to practice,” said Canter. “The things that mattered most to me in government service—rigor, accountability, getting it right—are very much alive here. I’m excited to continue building on that.”

“Two years ago, I was thrilled to join Alex and Zack when they had the idea to start the firm,” said Glover. “We’ve hired excellent people at every turn, delivered outstanding results for clients across the country, and built something truly special that I’m grateful to be part of each day.”
